The club was founded by Flora McFarlane in 1891. The purpose of the woman’s club was to improve the lives of families in Coconut Grove. One part of the club’s mission was to expand education in the area which led to higher literacy and a better educated community.
Today, the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove serves as a wedding and event venue for all styles of weddings, corporate and social events. Its beautiful rich hardwood floors and stone fire place bring a sense of warmth and elegance with a sprinkle of rustic charm.
