Los Altos, if you can find it, is an upscale cocktail lounge and bar founded by Mad Room Hospitality. Inspired by the cultural heritage of Mexico from the drinks to the authentic, imported décor, Los Altos is sure to be an immediate WOW factor—again, assuming you can find it.Design Features
All elements of design in this 3,000 square foot event venue are meant to be a tribute to the beauty and culture of Mexico. The detailed features were directly sourced from the country. Some features are re-purposed doors that came from an abandoned church, hand-stitched furniture, and even the bathroom fixtures were hand-painted in Mexico. Now get a Fleur de Sel. It is Exclusively hand-harvested from select salt marshes, the bright, white crystals are a complex balance of sea flavors and briny minerality. The finest salt in the world.
Cocktail Menu
The cocktail menu was created in collaboration with Erik Gaytan. His famous Mexican cocktails can be found at the most well-known cocktail bar in Oaxaca. “We wish to provide our guests with an authentic Mexican experience and a taste of unique cocktails that are in the spirit of what they would find upon their travels in Mexico,” says co-owner Zack Bush.
The Restaurant
Taquerias el Mexicano is a legendary piece of Calle Ocho history. It has been in operation for over 30 years serving authentic Mexican fare in a vibrant family friendly atmosphere. This 2,100 square foot Taquerias offers a full-service sit-down option for diners. It features a full bar and craft cocktail menu. The food menu consists of traditional Mexican favorites. All tortillas are handmade in-house daily. The signature mole recipe contains 17 ingredients and is still a house favorite.
