The Setting

The event venue is the setting for your theme event. When selecting your event space keep in mind that this is the backdrop to your theme wedding. The Curtiss Mansion is a beautiful historic venue rich in details that dates back to over a century ago. The mystery of days gone by is the perfect setting for a Halloween theme event.

Floral Inspiration

The floral design was inspired by the bride’s black wedding gown and the linen’s deep tones of purple and green. Christopher Plaza with The Bride Candy chose flowers that gave depth with a mood of elegance to the styling of this Halloween wedding. The color palette of the bridal bouquet was dark purple and reds with greenery and pops of white. The touches of white flowers soften the bouquet while still enhancing the gothic theme. The pampas grass was paired with the greenery to give it an autumn feel.

Paper Product Styling

The paper products was a five-piece invitation suite printed on handmade paper. Incorporating details such as a hand-drawn, preserved forget-me-not flower and a headstone shaped RSVP card, the design helped carry the eerie, romantic feel for the styled nuptials. To provide a ghostly effect, the invitation suite was accompanied by a vellum mailing envelope that had iridescent, mica flakes, and a dual-colored wax seal. The menu card had a blood scarlet color wax seal to break away from the dark color palette.
